Services Offered:
Through our evidenced-based Exchange Parent Aide program, families with children birth to 12 receive in-home visits and personalized one on-one training. We also serve expectant families. We are a skill-building program that gives parents the information and support they need to create strong families. We focus on:
· Child safety: Regular attention to medical, dental, or mental health care; safe housing, freedom from child abuse/neglect and domestic violence.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Parents develop their abilities to resolve crisis and issues that arise (e.g. budgeting, housing).
· Parenting Skills: Parenting skills are enhanced through information sharing and coaching on child developmental phases and effective discipline techniques.
· Social Support: Parents are able to identify healthy and effective support systems and have confidence and skills to reach out to these systems on their own.
