SERVICES:
The Kaleidoscope program provides a variety of services and learning opportunities to help individuals achieve independence, productivity, and integration into their communities. These include social and community involvement, prevocational services and supported employment, education and learning, and recreational activities.

Highland Rivers I/DD programs also offer Family Support Services (i.e. family-centered support teams, respite care, access to specialized care supplies, etc.) and residential living and/or supports that can be provided through the intake coordinator Lisa Dodd at 706-295-6425 extension 2061.

FUNDING:
Funding is provided by federal or state waivers, family support funds, or private pay.

CLIENTS:
Kaleidoscope services assist individuals with a broad range of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Generally, services are targeted to individuals who: a) have been diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability since birth or before age 18, b) have been diagnosed with another intellectual disability since birth or before age 22 and deemed eligible for services, and/or c) are at risk for being placed in an institution for individuals with intellectual disabilities if they do not receive services to help them live in the community.

SERVICE AREA:
The Kaleidoscope program focuses on Floyd, Polk, Haralson, and parts of Paulding Counties. However, Highland Rivers Health I/DD programs provide services in counties within the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Region 1 (including Cherokee, Bartow, Gilmer, Gordon, Fannin, Floyd, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, and Whitfield) as well as Chattooga and Walker Counties in partnership with Lookout Mountain CSB.
