SERVICES:
The sheriff’s office is in charge of the Polk County Public Safety Complex/jail which houses all inmates from Cedartown, Rockmart, Aragon, and the rest of Polk County. They transport prisoners to/from court, medical appointments, and other jails or prison. They serve the courts, provide security for the courthouses, serve civil papers, criminal warrants, execute writs and processes, and transport mental patients for involuntary evaluation to the nearest emergency receiving facility serving Polk County. They also offer some educational programs.

Other services include: Background checks- $20; serve papers, subpoenas, warrants; answer calls; refer people to correct locations; car seats to qualifying families; toy express at Christmas to qualifying families; jail ministry.

VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteers allowed for jail ministries and training is offered to them.
