SERVICES:
• Provides 24 hour police patrol protection and a Criminal Investigations division. The Rockmart Police Department provides a community oriented policing service which encourages a positive working relationship between their officers and the community. Our goal is to make merchants and citizens feel safe living, working and doing business in Rockmart.
• The Rockmart Police Department is also involved in many community projects. School Resource Officers (SRO) are responsible for the four (4) schools on the east side of Polk County (RHS-RMS Eastside Elementary-Van Wert Elementary).
• The Rockmart Police Department participates in Career Day programs at the schools in eastern Polk County, assist students interested in public safety careers with their senior projects.
• They also work with the community on a Neighborhood Watch program. The Rockmart Police Department offers the “Christmas is for Kids” program. They collect money and toys from local citizens and merchants to provide assistance to underprivileged children and families in the Rockmart and Aragon area.
